Letter from the Director General
DPME is starting to settle down into its main work activities now. With the outcomes, we are now in a regular reporting cycle to the Cabinet Committees. We recently obtained Cabinet approval for a new reporting format for the outcomes, and the Outcomes Branch and Data Branch are currently very busy working with the coordinating departments to assist them to produce the new reports.

Cabinet approval of the Development Indicators, Presidential Hotline and Frontline Service Delivery Monitoring Reports
The Cabinet meeting of 7 March 2012 approved the publication of the Development Indicators 2011.

Change of the name "DPME Practice Note" to "DPME Guideline"
All documents previously issued by DPME as "practice notes" will, as of 21 February 2012, be referred to as the "DPME Guidelines" for administrative clarity reasons. See attached special note.

Submissions for National Evaluation Plan
DPME organised two briefings on 15 and 21 February to assist departments to complete submit proposals for evaluations to be included in the 2012/13 National Evaluation Plan.
